**REVISION of sign up periods for ECP & EFRP - Thursday, February 23, 2012

SIGNUP DEADLINE REVISED FOR EMERGENCY CONSERVATION PROGRAM (ECP) FOLLOWING HURRICANE IRENE DAMAGE

USDA Farm Service Agency (FSA) State Executive Director Richard Burke announced recently that the official signup for cost-share assistance under the Emergency Conservation Program (ECP) which began on January 23, 2012 and originally was scheduled to end on March 23, 2012 has been shortened to end on February 29, 2012.

Haverhill BOH Meeting Changed to March 13th - Tuesday, February 14, 2012

**Due to conflicts with voting laws, the BOH has decided to move the meeting at which piggery regulations will be discussed to March 13th at 7:00PM.** As many of you are aware, the Board of Health (BOH) in the City of Haverhill has been working to restrict the keeping of pigs in town. They originally proposed an outright ban on the keeping of pigs. Thanks to a tremendous response from the farming community and their customers, they seem to have abandoned this idea. read more ...
